I'm currently clearing a barn after a close relative died.
My relative was a Mechanic and amongst his unfinished projects i have found a sunbeam rapier. However not being mechanically minded myself and without knowing more than what i can see and what the logbook reads, i would like some advice and guidance from the enthusiasts! Its logbook says its 1961 im not sure what model/mk this makes it?
What history i know of this car is that it was purchased aprox. 15 years ago it was worked on regularly including the suspension the engine and the bodywork it then went for a bare metal respray aprox. 7 years ago where it was returned to the barn its in and covered up never to be worked on again. Present with it is all its glass, only the rear screen is in situe, chrome trim, one full set of red seats that match its dash, possibly another set of seats in different colour, a spare bonnet and spare boot lid and spare set of doors. The work done on it looks too close for it not to be finished now! However I am not the right owner for the job!!

That's an interesting one. Sounds like a Series III or IIIA. A shame it wasn't fitted up after the re-spray, but if the barn was well ventilated and dry, then it should have survived OK and would then just be a case of fitting up.
Do you mind supplying the Reg. No., so we can see if it is known to the club? If you'd rather not post up here you can always pm me.
Also, what part of the country are you in. Thanks for alerting on here; should be the best place to find it a home
Cheers! G.
