Posted - 06 Oct 2014 : 14:08:28 Hello all, Not sure if I had posted something on this before, but I have now done all of the preliminary investigations in having the rear screen seal & possibly the rear quarter window seal (same profile) reproduced. It would have to be one type only, so the one that takes the insert rather than the moulding; (sorry you early car owners!) still I would think keeping the water out is the main thing. I really need to have half a dozen firm orders before committing to the spend, so could all you Fastback folks out there let me know if you would be interested? You'll probably need a price to help you in your decision? Well to members, I'd hope we could do them at c.£50 for the rear screen seal and c.£50 the pair for the rear quarters. Please could you post up your interest, or send me a mail. Many thanks. G. |

Posted - 04 Nov 2015 : 08:41:55 later type if from 1972 i think,
i know my 1970 still sports the earlier type - you can tell from the trim, *early rubbers have the larger stainless trim *later rubbers have the chrome plastic insert. |

Posted - 08 Oct 2015 : 11:14:27 Probably well missed the boat here but any chance of buying a seal set?
What's all this 'later type' business? Would it fit a 1969 model?
Lots of questions...
Thanks,
Mike

Posted - 21 Oct 2014 : 23:07:28 Thanks for adding in there Jason. I hope now that I will be able to set things in motion. It's a pity we can only do one profile type (the later one) but I think more cars have the insert than the moulding. I've already got some good quality new insert to go with the seal when made. Cheers all. G |

Posted - 10 Oct 2014 : 14:05:55 I would like the back one too. The side still has the original chrome on. Not that I get dampness in, but it is better to have such spares when they are needed.
Best greetings from the Isle of Arran in Scotland.
