Posted - 28 May 2012 : 11:50:20 I've noticed recently that I'm getting a bit of fuel leaking out of the filler cap on my fbk. I have a spare and will fit for now but the chrome isn't up to much and this one may leak too. Can the rubber be replaced on these, if so do you know how?
Thanks

Nice one guys thank you'll. Ill have a hunt around with that part number and will ask Glen although pretty sure ive missed the boat as he's given it up now.
Isn't it funny that sometimes its the simple way that works - pulling the rubber gasket on and off. When I have been there trying to pull the thing apart to no avail.
Ps on sunday (3rd) ill be at western park, nr Telford for the day at a show called Retro car Mania just incase anyones looking for a day out. Cheers

Posted - 29 May 2012 : 08:08:23 Hi Martin I fitted a new seal to mine a couple of months ago because it was leaking petrol.
What time are you leaving to go to weston Park on Sunday? I might be interested in going myself.
Coupes are cool

Posted - 28 May 2012 : 18:23:23 For the one on the cap, it's pretty easy - you just pull the old one off and stretch the new one on. I got a new one from Glen a few months ago. Got it here - it says "1237914 Fuel filler seal - to flange" on the packet.
