Not content with presenting me with the clutch problem my series IV seems to have 'blown' its brake servo;masses of white smoke from exhaust, poor engine running and loss of fluid from the master cylinder. The unit is a Girling Powerstop 5616 but is not the one shown in the workshop manual, does anyone have any information regarding fitting reapir kits if they are available and from where they can be obtained?
As a last resort I wonder what the merits maybe of simply removing the servo, anyone any experience of non servo brakes on the Rapier?
I cannot try it for myself as the car is not yet road legal.
Regards
John
