Hi. Anyone know how to lean off or richin CD 150s? I've noticed my front two cylinders (toward rad) are running leaner than the back two (dash)or is this normal? The Haynes aint very clear. Cheers.

Cheers Lads. As usual, the haynes manual is totally wrong. I had the jet all the way up. Now just waiting for big end shells n I'll be back OTR. Sound!

Early fastbacks have the 150 CDS carbs and later ones have 150 CD-3 (not sure when they changed over).

If you have the later 150 CD-3 carbs you have to adjust the needle instead of the main jet. You need a special tool to adjust the needle on these.

It's easy to tell the difference; the 150CDS has the brass jet adjuster under the float bowl (number 6 on the manual page that Thomas posted) the later 150 CD-3 has a flat cover instead (the jet is fixed).

There's a lot of explanation so I hope you can read it on the picture!
This is a copy of a page from the sunbeam alpine SV owners manual, should be the same...
