Hi all,
The saga of the restoration of my SIV goes on and I have been considering wheels and tyres.I have previously posed the question of tyre sizes and received some good advice.I am now wondering whether it's worthwhile swapping the 13inch wheels for 15 inch from say a SIII.The car has overdrive retro-fitted and as far as I know the diff is unchanged from the origional without o/d.
My questions are;
are the wheels a straight swap? what are the implications regarding speedo reading and performance?
If I decide to do the swap does anyone have a set of 5 wheels for sale?
Regards from la belle France

John Costin.

You could use lower profile tyres so that the overall diameter stays the same - that would mean no change to speedo reading.
This will help: http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

Can't help with the fitting, sorry
