I have just managed to get hold of a replacement crank pulley, but before i go ahead and change it over i just want to check.
Do i need to use any special tools or methods, or am i ok to just unbolt - remove and bolt.
cheers

I had to buy one specially - can't remember the size but it's a bit over an inch (1 and quarter maybe?). With the right tools and if the woodruff key isn't damaged (they are usually ok) it's a ten or fifteen minute job.

Must say that doesnt fill me with confidence - possibly a job for my local garage i think.

If you've go to do the job on your own - put the car in 4th gear and pull the hand brake on hard. With a bit of luck the pulley bolt will come loose before the car moves - if not you'll find yourself moving slowly backwards across the garage as you turn the engine over with the spanner |
