Hi lads. I'm running a fastback with a BorgWarner auto box. I am having major difficulties starting it and have been told it's between gears. Any ideas? Is it a solenoid or a cable adjustment? Lost. Cheers.

Will do Petespops. The engine is turning, it's just very sluggish. Starters new ans so's the battery.

Check for shifter rod adjustment/worn bushes. Disconnect the shifter rod from gearbox end and make sure gearbox is in park, then try to start it. Move selector lever (on gearbox) to neutral and again see if it starts. Shifter rod should have no play and should fit into selector lever easily.
Hope this makes sense.
