Hi,
I just have bought a LHD Sunbeam Rapier Series 4a and I am looking for the right type of oil filter. The car is right now situated about 90km from where I am living so I have no access to the car on this moment. I have been searching the internet but I am not able to find the type number for for instance Fram,K&N, Mann or some other mark. I seem to remember that in the old days the Fram number was PH9A but that number no longer exists and on the Fram website it is no longer mentioned. So if somebody could inform me about a mark plus the appropiate type number for the oil filter I should appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

Thanks a lot for your information. I am sure I am able to buy an oil filter her in the Netherlands. But many thanks for your offer!
Regarding the K&N oil filter I have checked this one out on the internet but the refering number seems to be K&N PS-2004. The "105 L4" bit is used as a kind of description in which 4 stands for 4 cylinders. Well the most important is that thanks to your help I am now able to buy an oil filter!

Hi Peter. I have a S IV and the list of oil filters to suit are:
Fram PH2857A
TJ Filters FB2059
Unipart GFE114
Motorcraft EFL90
K&N 105 L4
There are usually 2 or 3 on ebay at nay one time. If you have a real problem. Get back to me as I have a few spares. Derek (Chairman) |
