Please could you tell me how to sort the posts into the latest one at the top.

I've usually read the posts as they come, and having to go down to the bottom of a thread to read the latest one is irritating.

I'll bet there's a very simple way to do it.

Thanks,

Tony.

Thanks, the option worked for me.

Regards,

Tony.

OK, hopefully the changes I've made will allow you to sort the topics into new or oldest posts first.

At the top of the topic there are two new options:

New posts at top
New posts at bottom

which will do the sorting....

Let me know if there are any problems.

Quick Update.

Managed to get the original post at the bottom of the replies if they are sorted so that the newest posts are at the top.

A couple of small issues to sort re jumping around the pages and then it should be good to go......

Looking at the code it gets the original post first and then displays the replies underneath.

So the replies can be sorted but they will always stay underneath the original post.

Would that help or would it make it confusing?

Thanks Jason.

The 'JowettTalk' forum allows me to do this, but it probably has another provider.

Tony.

Don't know that you can, certainly all the forums I use have the most recent post at the bottom.

Would be interested to know if you can though.
