I have been trying to trace some replacement brushes for a late model pre-engaged starter motor. Early models fitted with a pre-engaged motor used a Lucas unit, but I wasn't sure who made the later ones, (they aren't marked with a maker's name anywhere on the case, only a pentastar on the end casting). In the end, Speedys came back with an answer, (after going through the microfiche records). This is a Mitsubishi Unit, Type MEA-17.

Another option is a reduction starter as found on E-bay. They have the advantage of reduced weight, size and current draw as well as being a direct replacement fit. Overall it makes starting easier. The H120 usually takes only one attempt as there is a greater voltage for the electronic ignition.
