Me again! I can't find spare brake shoes for the rear of my Series V. Can anyone tell me if there is an equivalent shoe! I've seen shoes advertised for the later Repiers but not sure if they'll fit. Not having part numbers for the later "fastback" Rapier I can't tell. I'm reluctant to send off the existing shoes for re-lining.

Do you know if fastback shoes are the same? If so I have some.
Steve.

Thank you. I can check the Rootes part number for the series V Brake shoes, but not the Fastback equivalent. Do you have the part number for your shoes by any chance, please?

I have part numbers for the early Hunter range (up to 1972) it are two different settings which are:
Brake shoe complete: 5059533 with as brake lining 5060080;
Brake shoe complete: 5059536 with as brake lining 5059867.
This part numbers are different from the Rapier series V which are:
Brake shoe complete: 5041085 with as brake lining 5041086.

I have also looked in to Alpine brake linings but this part numbers are completely different.

Regards,

Peter
