Posted - 15 Oct 2018 : 19:34:46 Chassinumber. I have some problems about chassinumber for my Fastback. Where is the chassinumber marked at Fastbacks? Is it only at the plate in front of the motor. Or some else place? How was this done at the factory. I will be wery happy if someone can take a picture of your Fastback chassinumber and put it in the forum. Hope someone can help me because there are some problems to get lisenceplate. (sorry about my bad english) Regards Jan |

Posted - 26 Oct 2018 : 05:00:41 The fastbacks that came to the states had the VIN number in the usual place in the engine compartment and also a plate riveted in the upper left side of the crash pad. There was an opening in the crash pad for this plate. |

On mine there is just a plate riveted to the bonnet catch plate.

If it has its original engine the same number should be stamped on the block.
