Hi can anyone help identify an engine , supposedly a 1725cc, with engine no:
BOO 6034159
H HSO
It doesn't have a Sunbeam rocket cover, but is in a series 3 Rapier
any help appreciated.

Thanks for Info Peter, it is the engine from the convertible currently for sale on carandclassic near Crowborough. I've been to view and am quite keen to become its new owner ! We will see.

Hi Royston,

This engine is from a Hillman Minx series VI. This block is indeed a 1725 cc engine but with a cast iron cylinder head.
