Hi, starter too slow to turn engine. New battery and leads, starter & solenoid OK. Think it may be an earth problem? Where should the earth lead be fitted to engine? At the moment its bolted to the timing case - should it be more directly connected to the block??

Many thanks Peter, I will look into that. Best regards, Denis

It is originally fitted between gearbox carrier and body, but a better solution is to fit one between a bolt between engine/gearbox and the body of the car, because by doing so one avoids the oil that is always dripping down from the gearbox and this causes bad earth.

Regards,

Peter
