Hello members, I have installed electronic ignition in my Rapier FB and was seeking advice on what plug gap setting should I use. I run on Aus 98 octane unleaded fuel and am using N9Y equivalent plugs, (NGK BP6ES). Thanks in advance

Although I don't believe it's necessary, you could slightly increase the spark plug gap and take advantage of a "meatier" spark. I opened mine to .030 from .025. Not sure if it made any difference though!

Hi bigaadams, yes, I have a matching high output coil fitted.

If you did not change your ignition coil, only the trigger to the coil has been affected by the electronics. If you up the secondary output only then will this necessitate a spark gap change.

It should be: .025 inch (.635 mm)

Peter
